World pool champs - 8 ball |

The pool champs for 8 ball (endorsed by the WPA) have just been held over the last week. I have to say that the final match sounded a touch boring for a live pool game between two of the best players in the world. Neither of the players made a single mistake in the match so the new Wold 8 ball Champ is now Ronnie Alcano because he was the better breaker.
Now how much more interesting would that have been if the worlds two best players played against each other in a game of online pool? Very exciting I would think. Interestingly, Ronnie Alcano now holds both the world 8 ball championship and the world 9 ball championship titles. It does take a special player at the top of his game to be able to hold both titles at the same time.
Maybe in years to come we will see a world champs played out online at somewhere like PoolComps. |
